Boxercise is a great class to de-stress, burn the calories, lose the weight and tone up at the same time. Plus Boxercise classes are a cost effective way to get in shape!
Our boxercise classes have a great atmosphere, are fun and friendly and during the boxercise classes you will get a chance to meet and make new friends.
Boxercise classes don't just work the upper body, it's a whole body workout! My Boxercise classes combine other exercises like squats, tricep dips to keep Boxercise Class fresh and interesting.
What exactly is involved in Boxercise Classes?
In Boxercise Classes you work in pairs. One has the gloves and the other the pads. You take it in turns to be the boxer and the pad holder. Before we actually start the boxing, we have a little bit of circuit training. There are five stations first, each chosen to warm up the areas of the body that will be heavily involved in the boxing. So to recap; the Boxercise class starts with a group warm-up, going through the various punches followed by a little bit of circuit training, then we get into the boxing followed by a cool-down.
Do I need any equipment for the Boxercise class?
The only thing I advise that you buy from me or bring with you are boxing wraps. Boxing wraps protect your wrists and are hygienic. There is nothing worse than not wearing wraps and sticking your hand into a sweaty glove! Wraps cost £3.50 for the 3M versions and £10.00 for the quick slip on ones. You can bring your own gloves and pads if you wish, but these are provided free of charge.
Boxercise Class Locations and Times
The Boxercise Classes are held at the Royal School Wolverhampton . In the dance studio upstairs in the swimming complex (Rita Hayward building). Boxercise is held every Tuesday at 8.15pm-9.15pm .
